PROFOH Headquarters, Washington DC – We are pleased to announce our active participation of the upcoming Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4, in Sevilla, Spain) during June 30-July3, 2025,PROFOH is also member of NGO Global Committee on Financing of Development (FfD4), our organization delegates will come from some PROFOH countries such as Ghana, Egypt, Nigeria and Germany. As an organization, we shall be sending a strong message of hope that humanity’s global goals to end poverty and contain the climate emergency are within reach. We urge participants to X-ray key reforms of the International Financial Architecture – the system of public and private finance that channels the world’s saving to the world’s investment – should be adopted at this conference to bring vital objectives within reach. We believe, no single member state of the UN can excuse itself of the responsibility to contribute fairly and adequately to the provision of global public goods and services. High-income member states have a special responsibility, both for fairness and also as a matter of distributive justice–that the rich not leave the poor behind. It is our fervent hope that the conference addressed public goods such as finance the UN system itself by member states(This overall UN cost of operations is a paltry sum – just $46 billion in 2023 the year of most recent data compared with $2.4 trillion spent worldwide on the military that year.) PROFOH is proud to support WHO financially this month(June 2025) as we shall be making donation to this global body in Sevilla, Spain. Finally, we are calling on participants to adopt the new thinking- the highest reliable return on the planet is investing in the health and education of a young child in a low-income country in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Oceania, or Asia. Education not only brings dignity, fulfillment, and wellbeing, but also remarkable and reliable economic benefit, leading economists to describe healthcare, nutrition and education as investments inhuman capital. Such investments have a huge financial payoff, perhaps 20 percent compound annual return, when they are broad-based and good quality.
