First Medical Mission , Lagos & Oyo

The year started with our visit to the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on how we could collaborate with the State Government on Nutrition Systems Development of under five years children. It was designed to boost their nutritional values, it  impacted the lives of the most improvised and underserved children in most communities that are grossly underweight in Nigeria, The mission was supported with donated formula food by our long term partner Gabasawa Women and Children Empowerment Initiative and Redeem Church in Ikorodu, a suburb of Lagos(14 miles northwest of Lagos)  Pastor Aaron Fapohunda of the Redeemed Church did a remarkable job, he ensured that only children that are urgent need benefits ,he also flag-off the mission January 26 which lasted till February 13, over 4000 children benefited from the program. As always, our situation normally creates response, Mr. Moses Adetunji PROFOH South West coordinator in Nigeria replicated the program in Ibadan, Oyo State some 100 kilometers outside Lagos more than 300 children benefited from the Ibadan program.
