Organized INEE Meet- Up In Abuja, Ibadan & Lagos

PROFOH is a long standing member of Inter Agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE) based in the United States every year members volunteer to organize Meet-Up in their respective locations. Last year we did in Port Harcourt. “Education is the key to eliminating gender inequality and poverty reduction by creating a sustainable planet, to preventing needless deaths and illness and fostering peace.” We believe in PROFOH that in a knowledge economy, education is the new currency by which nations maintain economic competitiveness and global prosperity.” One of the most critical investments we can make. This is true not only for our organization but for institutions around the world .As a member of INEE it was on that strength that we organize this year‟s meetings up in Abuja and Ibadan. The Abuja and Ibadan discussion was on “Conflict Sensitive Education” which is the suggested theme for the event, while the one held in Lagos was Achieving Universal Basic Education and the role of Corruption It was attended largely by member of National youth Service Corps (Nigeria Fresh University Graduates) and young Adults who believe education is the bedrock of any meaningful development in any given society. There were contributions from participants who believe that education should not be a conflicting issue in a civilized society. The participant that attended the program was approximately 160 at the three events.
