PROFOH TO ESTABLISH A “PROFOH COLLEGE OF HUMANITARIAN STUDIES”
PROFOH Headquarters, Washington DC – We’re delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, (MoU) with South East University, located in Abia State Nigeria that will enable our organization established the PROFOH College of Humanitarian Studies awarding First Degrees inside a massive facility that will be donated by the University.
PROFOH will be supporting the South East University in sourcing some learning and medical equipment for their laboratories for the departments of Medicine, Pharmacy, Radiography, Nursing Science, Public Health, Optometry, Dentistry, Health Information Management, Physiotherapy and Computer Science. The MOU made very clear, that the donated items will be subject to availability as part of our global humanitarian work. The proposed college of will be unique, as it will expand the frontier of first responders, socialized medicines in public health, volunteerism, etc. which will harness local knowledge to advance viable solutions to sustainable development challenges in Africa and beyond.

An international committee that will be Chaired by the President of Jagora University (PROFOH partner University) will soon be set up to design the global curriculum. Our organization is currently holding high level talks with several leading universities and seeking other partnerships on ways to internationalize and replicate this College of Humanitarian Studies in several countries. We have also had Africa Internships discussions with Kings College London, United Kingdom, Anglo America University, Prague, Czech Republic and more.
Finally, both South East University and PROFOH shall also cooperate in knowledge exchange, policy innovation and strategic partnership, research, academic, professional, educational exchange programs and developmental areas that will be mutually beneficial to students, the society and humanity at large.
