Dr. Gbemuotor Kama and Mr. Matthias Vierheilig, Appointed as Independent Executive Board Members of Golden Spark Capital Merchant Banking Group

PROFOH Headquarters, Washington, DC – Professionals for Humanity (PROFOH) is pleased to announce the appointment of two of its senior leaders, Dr. Gbemuotor Kama and Mr. Matthias Vierheilig, are appointed as Independent Executive Board Members of Golden Spark Capital Merchant Banking Group. Dr. Kama and Mr. Vierheilig will represent the African and European continents, respectively. The appointment is effective as of 30 December 2025 and recognizes PROFOH’s nearly 30 years of dedicated service to humanity.

Golden Spark Capital Merchant Banking Group is headquartered in Virginia, United States, and Barcelona, Spain. In addition to his Board appointment, Dr. Kama has been designated Trustee for the Continent of Africa, supporting the Group’s strategic, fiduciary, and representational interests across African jurisdictions. The Executive Board role includes providing executive-level strategic guidance, fiduciary insight, and regional expertise, as well as participating in board-level consultations as required. Mr. Vierheilig, who also serves as PROFOH Global Director of Renewables and Board Member of PROFOH Germany, will contribute his expertise in renewable energy and sustainable development.

Commenting on the appointments, Dr. Kama noted that this recognition reflects the collective dedication and passion of PROFOH’s Board, management, and members in advancing service to humanity.

Golden Spark Capital Merchant Banking Group’s strategic focus for the coming decade and beyond is development banking, particularly in developing countries.
