PROFOH AT OECD FORUM IN PARIS
PROFOH Headquarters, Washington DC, Team PROFOH had a great time in Paris for two days non-stop, at this year’s *OECD Green Growth and Sustainable Development Forum* on 1-2 July. During COP30, the UN Climate Change Conference held in Belém, Brazil from November 10–21, 2025, Rooted in the heart of the Amazon, the conference focused on accelerating the implementation of the Paris Agreement, halting deforestation, and mobilizing climate finance. PROFOH joined the OECD Pavilion at COP 30, we contributed to discussions on strengthening resilience. Building on that momentum, PROFOH was invited this high-profile event, which focused on the economics of climate adaptation.
As climate risks intensify, investing in adaptation offers an opportunity to strengthen resilience, sustain growth and unlock economic benefits. Well-designed adaptation measures have the potential to protect lives, infrastructure, livelihoods and ecosystems, while bolstering productivity, creating jobs and securing more long-term investment.
The event had World-leading experts and government representatives explore: how investment in adaptation generates economic benefits beyond avoided losses; how adaptation is being integrated into decision-making across economic sectors; the roles of businesses and nature in driving progress; and the employment opportunities of adaptation action…
