PROFOH AND ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT SIGNED MOU

PROFOH Headquarters, Washington DC, we are very pleased to announce official signing of strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of Anambra State Nigeria.The purpose of the MOU is to establish a framework of cooperation through which PROFOH and the State Ministry of Health will work together to strengthen and expand the delivery of health services in Anambra State, and to ensure that any grants, donations, missions, or project activities undertaken pursuant to the collaboration are implemented successfully, responsibly, and in a manner that is sustainable beyond the life of any individual project or funding cycle.

The Parties agree to collaborate across the following areas of general health service delivery, with the Anambra State Telemedicine Initiative serving as the flagship project of this partnership, including medical outreaches, surgical, clinical, and specialist consultations and patient management support missions. Medical education, training, and capacity building for healthcare workers for lean health care to be provided by PROFOH partners including epidemiological and behavioral surveillance and expansion of telemedicine services beyond the current 326 PHCs to additional wards and facilities across the State’s 21 LGAs, and beyond PHCs to secondary and tertiary facilities.
